James Voorhees is an American writer who was born in Jersey City, NJ and raised in Secaucus, NJ. Voorhees holds his Bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and his Master’s and Doctorate degrees from Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. He has spent his lifetime immersed in music, fashion, travel, art, and with people who bring him joy and laughter as his greatest forms of inspiration. He currently resides in Miami Beach, FL.

This short story is definitely a page-turner!
It narrates the powerful tale of a young man who is both gifted and cursed with the ability to see people’s future by touching their skin. Kindron, the main character, will steal your heart as he learns to navigate the world. When tragedy strikes, Kindron discovers pain, darkness, and above all, the need for revenge. His relentless quest for revenge will propel him into a world full of dark and mysterious creatures; the vivid details will make you feel Kindron’s pain, despair, and determination to your core.
This story managed to surpass my expectations and at the same time, be nothing like I expected. Kindron meets intriguing characters along the way, so I am excited to read more of James Voorhees’ work to discover their stories.
